Filing of e-form DIR 3 KYC for all DIN allotted before 31-03-2018

As part of updating its registry, MCA would be conducting KYC of all Directors of all companies annually through a new e-form viz. DIR-3 KYC to be notified and deployed shortly. Accordingly, every Director who has been allotted DIN on or before 31st March 2018 and whose DIN is in ‘Approved’ status, would be mandatorily required to file form DIR-3 KYC.

Silent feature of the scheme is as follows,

• Every Director who has been allotted DIN on or before 31st march, 2018 and whose DIN status is ‘Approved” is required to file DIR – 3 KYC
• Due date of filing of DIR-3KYC for the current year is 31st August, 2018.
• For each subsequent financial years, every director who has been allotted DIN shall submit e-form DIR 3-KYC on or before 30 th April of immediately next financial year
• Filing of the e-form DIR 3 KYC is mandatory even for Disqualified Directors.
• Quoting of Unique Personal Mobile Number and Personal email ID is mandatory
• Address and identity proof mandatorily to be attached with form DIR -3KYC
• For foreign National – attested copy of Passport is required
• Each director must have PAN-based DSC to file DIR 3 KYC.
• Mandatory certification is required from practicing professional (CA/CS/CMA)
• If the director fails to file DIR-3 KYC the MCA21 system will mark all approved DINs (allotted on or before 31st March 2018) against which DIR-3 KYC form has not been filed as ‘Deactivated’ with reason as ‘Non-filing of DIR-3 KYC’
• However, the de-activated DIN shall be Re-activated only after filing of E-form DIR-3 KYC with the payment of fee of Rs. 5000/-
