Trade License

The business entities, who are establishing activities listed in Schedule X of Karnataka Municipal Corporation Act, are mandatorily required to obtain Trade License from Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Bangalore.

The major activities covered under Schedule X are

• Food and Food processing.
• Hotels and Restaurants.
• Boarding and lodging.
• Marriage halls and convention centres.
• Nursing homes and hospitals, diagnostic centres.
• Barber shops, Beauty Parlors, etc.
• Chemicals and Pesticides.
• Dry cleaning and laundry.
• Water tankers.
• Construction work like brick molding, granite.

Other registration required to start the business :

• GST Registration

• Registration under Karnataka Shops and Establishment Act

• Profession Tax Registration

• MSME | Udyog Aadhaar Registration

• Employee Provident Fund Registration (PF Registration)

• Employee State Insurance Registration (ESI Registration)

• STPI Registration or Non-STPI Registration

• Import Export Code ( IEC)
